ReplyDeletehow is the internet made available in such secluded place..??
DeleteI have been to Meteora, Greece. Very beautiful place indeed. It was a real trek to make for a lone girl who doesn't read or speak Greek to make, but well worth it.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I have not been to the deer stones in Mongolia, but I stayed in the Mongolian countryside back in 2005. It is SO amazing! There is no one around for miles and miles. The nomad people's animals roam free (horses, sheep, etc.) and while I was horseback riding we came across some herds just grazing in the middle of nowhere. And we also rode to a nomad family's campsite in which they invited us into their ger for some traditional Mongolian food. Neither of us spoke each other's language, but it's amazing what you can get across with hand gestures and a Lonely Planet book with Mongolian sayings in it that they can read.
ReplyDeleteYou left out my backyard with my pool an me siting on a deck, smoking cigars and drinking brandy. That is most beautiful place for me.
